Description

Anystis baccarum, otherwise known as the Crazee Mite or Whirligig Mite has quickly become popular among growers, revolutionizing the world of supplemental bio-control agents. Featuring a large size, impressive speed, and an eye-catching red shade, this beneficial mite has gained unprecedented popularity. With a rapid reproduction rate and natural appetite for pests like aphids, thrips and spider mites, the Crazee Mite can provide effective, long lasting protection with no harsh chemical application necessary. Adults immediately start laying eggs upon introduction into a crop so you will soon witness them devouring hundreds of small prey daily and targeting larger pests with great effectiveness. Application Instructions

Anystis baccarum is packaged and shipped at various life stages. A package of adults is shipped as their last pupal stage, so they can emerge as hungry adults upon receipt. The fastest way to determine the quality of the mites is to watch the emergence over 1 – 3 days after receiving them. The mites are fragile, so allow them some time to emerge and move around. Because of this, central release in a desired location is appropriate, to allow voluntary release. Sprinkling and pouring out the contents in several locations is also an option.

Storage Instructions

Optimum conditions are temperatures of 24°C and humidity over 70%. While egg viability is dependant on moisture, adults and nymphs remain active and fit within a large range of temperature and humidity, that is why it is applicable for all indoor and outdoor crops. Use upon receipt. Do not freeze. Do not refrigerate.
