Product description

Description

Tricho-Pepper PRO™ cards offer an effective solution to protect hop and pepper crops against European corn borer. Inside each card are parasitic wasps, Trichogramma ostriniae. Once emerged, the females, measuring only 1mm, lay their eggs inside butterfly eggs. Trichogramma larvae develop by feeding on the embryos. The eggs hatch in about two weeks to create a new generation of these beneficial insects, reducing crop damage. Used in Canada and the United States with proven effectiveness, this biological approach is essential to maintaining healthy farms without the use of insecticides.

What Makes Anatis PRO Trichogramma Cards Different?

Tricho-Pepper PRO™ combines effective biological control with Anatis’ premium folded and stapled card format, designed to provide added protection for Trichogramma pupae.

Unlike standard open-faced Trichogramma cards, the protected PRO design helps shield the pupae from predators, direct sunlight, and rain until the Trichogramma emerge. It also helps reduce losses during handling and shipping.

The PRO designation represents both professional quality and a protected card design. This more robust and durable format is designed for professional biological control programs.
