Application Instructions
Clean infested areas before placing the cards. Wash clothes and store them in airtight bags until the treatment is complete. Vacuum thoroughly. Clean closets with a mixture of water and bleach.
NOTE: In the case of pantry moths, inspect dry foods (flour, cereals, nuts, pet food, seeds, etc.). If possible, place the food in the freezer for 48 hours. Then, store it in a large plastic bin to protect it during the treatment.
Place the cards in infested areas. Handle the cards carefully during installation by holding them gently by the edges or the hook.
Introduce new cards weekly during a period of 8 weeks. Cards already installed should be kept in place for at least 2 weeks.
Storage Instructions
Keep in a low-humidity environment to prevent mold.
Can be refrigerated (4-10°C) for a maximum of four weeks. Do not freeze.
Description
Tricho–moths® helps control the infestation of clothed and stored moths in residential, commercial and industrial environments. Cards containing Trichogramma, a tiny parasitic wasp, are safe products for human and animal health and can be included in pest control programs in hypermarkets, museums, grain stores and mills. Because Trichogramma is so small (1 mm), moth eggs can be found in crowded, hard-to-reach places such as attics, wardrobes, cupboards, and warehouses. They can control the infestation of several moth species such as Indian meal moth, Mediterranean meal moth, flour moth and grain moth. It actively searches for moth eggs. Once infested, Trichogramma larvae grow and feed on host larvae. After two weeks, the eggs hatch into adult Trichogramma.
Can be used in combination with pheromone traps, but cannot be used with insecticides.
