Application Instructions
Clean infested areas before installing the cards. Wash clothes and isolate them in airtight bags until the end of the treatment. Vacuum the area. Wash wardrobes with a mixture of water and bleach. In case of meal moth infestation, inspect dry foods (flour, cereal, nuts, pet food, seeds, etc.). If possible, place them in the freezer for 48 hours. Then, place them in a large plastic bag to protect them during treatment. Place the cards in infested areas. Introduce new cards every week. The minimum treatment duration is 8 weeks, but it may be extended if the population of moths is significant. Keep each card in place for 3 weeks. Do not detach the cards.
Storage Instructions
To ensure the success of the treatment, handle your cards carefully during installation by gently gripping them by the edges or the hook. It is essential to clean the areas to be treated first. Unused cards should be stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of 4 weeks, but should not be frozen. For optimal effectiveness, install them in the center of the infestation. Keep them in place for 3 weeks; however, if the moth population is significant, the treatment will likely need to be extended beyond this period.
Description
Tricho-Mite® helps control the infestation of clothed and stored moths in residential, commercial and industrial environments. Cards containing Trichogramma, a tiny parasitic wasp, are safe products for human and animal health and can be included in pest control programs in hypermarkets, museums, grain stores and mills. Because Trichogramma is so small (1 mm), moth eggs can be found in crowded, hard-to-reach places such as attics, wardrobes, cupboards, and warehouses. They can control the infestation of several moth species such as Indian meal moth, Mediterranean meal moth, flour moth and grain moth. It actively searches for moth eggs. Once infested, Trichogramma larvae grow and feed on host larvae. After two weeks, the eggs hatch into adult Trichogramma.
Can be used in combination with pheromone traps, but cannot be used with insecticides.
