Description

Nabis americoferus (Hemiptera: Nabidae), also known as the Damsel Bug, is a native, widely distributed species across North America. Adults are slender and brown to tan in color, measuring about 10–13 mm in length. They possess well-developed piercing-sucking mouthparts and spiny, raptorial front legs, which they use for capturing prey. 

Both nymphs and adults are generalist predators that feed on a wide variety of soft-bodied insects, including aphids, thrips, whiteflies, and spider mites.

Application Instructions

Handle containers carefully to avoid stressing or damaging the insects. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight or extreme temperatures during preparation.

Distribute the contents directly on or at the base of infested plants.

Application rate is 0.25–0.5 bugs per m² (10 ft²) of infested area, or release 1-3 adult individuals in an infested area; repeat application every 2–3 weeks, until control.
