Description
Lindorus lophanthae, also known as the “Scale Destroyer,” is an insect with remarkable abilities. Small in size (2-3 mm), its black, hairy body with an orange thorax, adult females can lay hundreds of eggs that will develop into larvae over a period of three weeks. Obviously, optimal temperatures should be between 20 and 30°C and humidity levels should be above 60%. This beneficial predatory species primarily feeds on scale insects that damage trees and shrubs.
