Dr. Silvia Todorova, founder of Anatis Bioprotection, started the company in 2005 as a spin-off from her R&D activities conducted at the Université du Québec à Montréal. The R&D activities focused on technologies addressing the need for efficacious, reliable and sustainable bioinsecticide solutions.  

Mrs. Todorova holds a master’s degree in biology and a Ph.D. in Environmental sciences. She has worked at Institut National de Recherche Scientifique – Institut Armand Frappier and at the Université du Québec à Montréal. She has several scientific publications in the field of mycology, entomology, and biological control. 

Claude Robert is an expert in horticulture and entomology. After graduating from ITA in Saint-Hyacinthe with a TPHE degree, he commenced research on greenhouse cultivation at CIDES back in 2004. For several years after that, he worked as technical advisor for Organzo Advisory Club and played training roles for the small fruit sector within RAP Phytosanitary Warning Network while also being contracted to teach MAPAQ’s Fruit Production courses. In 2018, his vast knowledge led him to become Anatis’ Technical Representative before eventually being promoted to Supervisor of their Technical Services department today!

Since 2018, he works for Anatis as Technical Supervisor. 

Greg is a Professional Agrologist (P.Ag) with a lifelong passion for the natural world. After obtaining a B.Sc degree in Biology from UFV, he spent years honing skills in agriculture research, monitoring, and technical sales. He currently spends his days working with growers optimizing their pest management programs, specializing in biological control.  

With his 20 years of experience in the BC horticulture industry, Greg brings a wealth of knowledge to our IPM team.  

Omid, is an esteemed acarologist specializing in mites and their use in IPM programs. With an impressive 15-year research career, Omid has significantly contributed to the field of mite biodiversity and their benefits, conducting extensive studies in approximately 30 countries.  

Omid has made a remarkable impact by describing over 200 species, six new species of mites and 180 peer-reviewed publications, showcasing a deep commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of integrated pest management.

Ivy is a biologist with a deep commitment to plant health and sustainable agriculture. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with minors in Microbiology and Zoology, she developed strong expertise in quality control, plant care, and the identification and management of plant pests and diseases through biological control strategies. Driven by a passion for beneficial insects and environmental conservation, Ivy brings a thoughtful blend of scientific rigor, curiosity, and creativity to her work. Known for her strong work ethic and analytical approach, she plays a key role in supporting growers and advancing our biocontrol programs.

Griffin Short has five years of hands-on experience working directly in the field, specializing in ornamental flowers, vegetables, and nursery crops. Through his work with Eco Habitat Agri Services, he established a trusted crop-monitoring system for growers across the Niagara region, earning a reputation for his ability to identify unique problems and deliver swift, effective solutions. With contributions to several research projects and a strong interest in innovative approaches, Griffin is committed to helping the industry overcome the challenges growers face. He looks forward to building new relationships within the sector and continuing to apply his expertise to complex pest-management issues.

Miranda Zolla is an agronomist with a long-standing passion for entomology and pest monitoring. She brings valuable, hands-on experience in both vegetable and field crop production, developed through her work with Logiag and the Laguerre Basin Advisory Club, where she supported many growers with enthusiasm and dedication. Her keen observation skills, scientific rigor, and commitment to sustainable agriculture make her a trusted professional in the field. Driven by a strong interest in integrated pest management, Miranda applies her love of insects and her analytical approach to help growers strengthen their IPM strategies and improve crop resilience. Her versatility, curiosity, and genuine passion for ecological solutions make her an important asset to our team and contribute to advancing our mission toward healthier, more sustainable agriculture.
