Application Instructions
Nemaflor® F can be applied as a foliar spray, drench or through compatible irrigation systems.
For best performance, apply when substrate temperatures are between 10 and 28°C.
For foliar applications, spray in the evening or under conditions of high relative humidity to reduce desiccation. Thoroughly wet the treated foliage without excessive runoff and keep buds, flowers and leaves moist for at least 3 hours after application.
When spraying, maintain agitation of the solution to keep the nematodes evenly suspended.
Storage Instructions
- Use Nemaflor® F as soon as possible after delivery.
- If storage is necessary, keep the product refrigerated at 4–8°C until the expiry date indicated on the package.
- Do not expose to temperatures above 30°C.
- Do not freeze.
Frequently Asked Questions About Nemaflor® F
Nemaflor® F is used for the biological control of several greenhouse pests, including thrips, fungus gnats, leafminers and other susceptible insect pests. It can be applied to both foliage and growing media.
The beneficial nematodes actively search for susceptible pest stages and enter the insect through natural openings. Once inside, they release symbiotic bacteria that kill the host, generally within a few days.
Nemaflor® F contains Steinernema feltiae in a water-soluble gel formulation. Unlike some powder-based formulations, the gel dissolves readily in water and does not leave visible powder residues on flowers, foliage or fruit, making it particularly suitable for foliar applications.
Yes. Nemaflor® F is suitable for both foliar and growing-media applications. For foliar treatments, apply under humid conditions and keep the treated plant surfaces moist after application to protect the nematodes from desiccation.
Routine weekly applications are recommended because the nematodes target susceptible pest stages present at the time of treatment. Application frequency may vary according to the crop, pest pressure and IPM program.
Yes. Nemaflor® F can be integrated with other compatible biological control agents. For thrips management, S. feltiae can complement predators such as predatory mites and predatory bugs as part of a broader IPM program.
Beneficial nematodes are compatible with many biological and chemical crop protection products, but compatibility varies by product. Always verify compatibility before combining Nemaflor® F with pesticide applications.
Description
Beneficial Nematodes for Thrips, Fungus Gnats and Other Greenhouse Pests
Nemaflor® F is a biological control product containing the beneficial nematode Steinernema feltiae in a water-soluble gel formulation. Designed for both foliar and growing-media applications, it targets several important greenhouse pests, including thrips, fungus gnats and leafminers.
The nematodes actively search for susceptible pest stages and enter the host through natural openings. Once inside, they release symbiotic bacteria that kill the insect, allowing the nematodes to reproduce and continue their life cycle.
The Ecophyll® gel formulation dissolves easily in water and is particularly well suited for foliar applications because it does not leave visible powder residues on leaves, flowers or fruit.
