The particularity of this ladybug is to individually lay their eggs on the underside of leaves infested by spider mites. Females can lay up to 13 eggs per day. Adults, with the ability to feed on all stages of spider mites (eggs, larvae, nymphs, and adults), are thus powerful predators for these pest mites in several crops (peppers, cannabis, cucumbers, etc.).<\/p>\n<p><em>Stethorus punctillum<\/em> ladybugs do not attack other predatory mites. This is good news for the establishment of an integrated pest management program including this ally.
