Lindorus lophanthae is a small ladybug, measuring 2.5 mm, that attacks several species of scale insects (mealybugs, armoured and bark scales). The larvae and adults can consume scale insects in the egg, juvenile and adult stages. This little ladybug is also a generalist that feeds on several other pest insects.
It has proven to be skilled at getting established in greenhouse crops and controlling several species of scale insects.
