Solutions for a better world
BioCeres® WP is an insect-pathogenic mycoinsecticide using the Beauveria bassiana fungus. The strain is native from Canada and is adapted to climate and pest populations from North America. This fungus is found naturally in soil and attacks several species of invertebrates. This product sticks to insects’ cuticle (outer shell). The resulting infection causes death. The repressive effect is generally noticed after 7 days and pests will not develop any resistance to the fungus.
BioCeres® WP can be used for the biological control of whiteflies, aphids and thrips. Moreover, it is now certified organic in Canada and United States. With better quality spores, this biological insecticide doest not cause any phytotoxicity and doest not affect the plant growth.
Begin treatment as soon as pest first appear. This biological insecticide is more effective when applied preventively. Mix 2 to 4g/L of water, according to the density of the pest population. Use a sufficient volume of mixture to cover the leafage infested with pest insects. BioCeres® WP infected by contact so it is very important that the product touch the insect. For whiteflies and aphids, spray under the leaves where the insects are present.
For best result, apply BioCeres® WP in the evening to reduce the risk of spores degradation by UV rays. Apply again after 7 days. In severe infestations, the product can be applied every 3 to 5 days.
